One of the discovery wells drilled during the past decade in northeastern NPRA, wrapped in black plastic to discourage raptors from nesting on the well head. Permafrost polygons around the well appear undisturbed after melting of the ice pad on which the drilling rig was erected. Well head is about 10 ft high. Location in northeastern NPRA about 12 miles west of the Colville River delta.
